Sugarland Express

The other night I saw
Steven Spielberg's  "first film"
- Sugarland Express (1974).

Surprisingly, it WASN'T a sci-fi film.
It reminded me more of something the Coen Bros. would make.

Based on a true story, it's basically about some country-bumpkin, hill-billy kind of folks from the fields of Texas who are "poor" and "uneducated" and they want their young son back. Custody is about to be given to someone else, and they just don't want it to be.
So they make a run for it.

It's a farce.

Life is absurd.

I don't really have much else to say about it.

except, It's funny how quickly we tend to forget (some) quirky classics.
